Your first stop on this full day tour will be in Oberkirch or the surrounding area. The town is charming and was the possession of the Bishops of Strasbourg during centuries. Surrounded by vineyards, orchards and forest, the historic center still retains lovely half timbered houses dating back to the 17th century. Here, you will partake in your first wine tasting session of the day. Here the different grape varieties include Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, Spätburgunder also known as Pinot Noir, Gewürztraminer, Grauer Burgunder of Pinot Gris and many other. So just follow your guide who will select a local wine estate so that you may enjoy the delicious wines produced here including red wine or white wine. After the visit and wine tasting session of the morning, your private tour will move on. Depending on the weather conditions it will be possible to stop along the vineyards and take a small stroll to take a look at what is going on in the vines. Another option is to reach the village of Sasbachwalden that was chosen as one of the most beautiful villages of Germany. Located on the western slope of the black forest , it is characterized by its heritage protected historical center and the unique floral decoration of the village. After a short walk in the village you will have some free time for personal discovery. This is also a great location for a lunch in a local restaurant where one can taste regional delicacies like Black Forest cured meats or the famous Black Forest Cake!
Enjoy a Second Wine Tasting Before Returning to France

We had a very fun day with Matt to Mont Saint-Mitchel. Matt is an excellent tour guide & he cared for his clients very much. He's an on time person. We learned a lot about the history of Saint-Mitchel via Matt. He made sure we have enough time browsing this beautiful UNESCO. We definitely recommend friends & family this tour. Thank you Matt

Pascal was, above all, a smiling whirlwind of energy from the very start — bursting with knowledge, passion, and just the right amount of dramatic flair. He painted the horror of the Omaha Beach invasion so vividly that we could practically hear the chaos, then marched us through the bunkers at Pointe du Hoc like we were on a mission ourselves. And before we even caught our breath, he had already catapulted us back to Bayeux at invasion speed. A legend in tour‑guide form. Thanks from Croatian Team😉

Our Normandy D-Day tour was well worth it and we so enjoyed our tour guide Matt. He made the tour engaging, entertaining and informative. The tour was just the right size and a half day was perfect for us. It would have been much harder to get around to the sites and understand each without the information that Matt was constantly sharing. There was hardly a time that Matt was not telling us what/how/when of what we were looking at. Thanks Matt!
