The Colon operated in its first venue from 1857 until 1888, after which the building was closed for the construction of a new house. Many singers such as Maria Callas, Plácido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti, dancers such as Vaslav Nijinski, Mijail Barishnikov, among dozens of others had been in this theatre. You can't miss the opportunity to take this guided tour inside the spectacular venue. Once inside the theater, exchange you ticket with your tour guide and join a small group of visitors. You will be able to visit the Hall, the Main Foyer, the Gallery of Busts and the Golden Hall and round floor (50-minutes tour). You will receive the Teatro Colon eticket on your email after confirming your booking. Teatro Colon will not accept your Viator-TripAdvisor voucher, an email will be sent to you with the attraction ticket as an attachment. Traveler reviews
Quick but Must See
What a beautiful piece of architecture. The tour allowed enough time for pictures and history overview. We even got the opportunity to listen to a rehearsal for an upcoming opening night show. A quick tour that can not be missed.
Stunning.
Amazing building and architecture. Our guide was very engaging and kept us entertained the whole time. A must do when in BA.
Refreshing and informational
A spirited tour group leader, with impeccable English gave us lovely anecdotal information everywhere we walked.
Overnight Museum Experience
I took the guided tour of the Teatro Colón during Museum Night and it was a really beautiful experience. Being able to tour such an emblematic place, with so much history and cultural value, makes it very special. The information provided during the tour was interesting and allowed us to appreciate the space even more. While the organization could be improved due to the large number of people, the overall experience was totally worth it. It is certainly an activity I would recommend, especially for those who want to know more about the culture and heritage of the city
Marco
Marco was our guide and he was wonderful; informed, articulate, funny and charming. Thank you very much.
