Full description
You'll spend the evening moving between two versions of Barcelona: centuries-old bars tucked into the Gothic Quarter's narrow streets, and a modern food hall where the city's best kitchens compete for a seat. Taste cava, vermouth, and house wine poured straight from the barrel, alongside Catalan classics like cured sausage, patatas bravas, and crisp fried fish. Midway through, you'll cross the waterfront on foot, with views of the port, the Columbus Monument, and Montjuic opening up around you. The night finishes with a drink and seated meal of seafood/vegetarian paella, and churros with chocolate, all at Time Out Market Barcelona, chosen by the local editorial team that has spent years deciding which of the city's kitchens are worth your time. If you want Barcelona's food history and its present-day dining scene in one evening, this is where to find both.
Stop At: La Rebotiga
Description: Step into what looks like an ordinary Gothic Quarter bookshop, then find the small bar hidden among the shelves: La Rebotiga, serving Catalan wine and seasonal bites for decades. Start with a glass of cava, secallona del pastor, and brioche topped with smoked sardine and creamy cheese, your introduction to a Barcelona that hides its best moments behind unexpected doors.
Admission: Included
Duration: Approximately 30 minutes
Stop At: Bodega La Palma
Description: This Gothic Quarter institution has stood since 1935, evolving from a grocery store into a wine cellar where artists, poets, and neighborhood regulars have gathered for decades. Taste patatas bravas and Manchego cheese with a glass of vermouth as your guide introduces you to la hora del vermut, the ritual that turns a simple drink into one of Catalonia's most enduring social traditions.
Admission: Included
Duration: Approximately 30 minutes
Stop At: La Plata
Description: This tiny tapas bar has kept the same short menu since 1945. Taste Catalan botifarra sausage and crisp fried fish alongside a glass of house wine poured straight from the barrel. Watch for the porrón, the traditional long-spouted pitcher made for drinking without touching your lips to the rim.
Admission: Included
Duration: Approximately 30 minutes
Stop At: Time Out Market Barcelona
Description: Cross the waterfront on foot, passing views of the port, the Columbus Monument, and Montjuïc before arriving at Time Out Market Barcelona, where every kitchen and counter has been selected by Time Out's local editorial team. Sit down to enjoy a classic seafood/flavorful vegetarian paella, made by Can Ros, a family-run Barcelona institution for more than a century. Then indulge in artisan-made churros, served with indulgent hot chocolate for dipping, from Carmen Atelier de Churros, a traditional churrería. All this as you enjoy a drink and take in views of the port beyond the market's windows.

Reviews
Lara was a wonderful local tour guide!! The whole trip was as seamless, fun, and we felt prepared with parking logistics. Highly recommend the morning tour, as there was very little traffic and we had fewer tourists to navigate around. Also be prepared to be soaked on the boat tour! The priority tickets get you to the front of the boat and the waterfall spray hits you directly in the face. So fun!!
Lara was an excellent tour guide and the whole experience was worth the price.
Amazing Tour!!
