Traveler reviews
Full Day
Both our guide from Seville and Tangier was nice, it was a long day but did not feel rushed. The bus ride was ok however we were not aware we could not eat on the bus ride to Tarifa (about 2 hours) which we brought our breakfast as we left at 7:30. Our guide from Seville explained the journey well and what to expect. Once we arrived in Tarifa to catch the ferry, our guide gathered our tickets and explained passport control requirements. We arrived in Tangier, Morocco and were welcomed by our Tangier guide - he was hilarious and very knowledgeable. We took a tour bus around, rode camels for $2 Euro, walked the streets and enjoyed a Moroccan lunch. Enjoyed about 45 minutes at the end of the guided tour for some free time to explore, shop and eat/drink before departing back to the ferry. We got back to Seville around 11:00 pm.
Just do it!
What a wonderful day! Our Moroccan guide was incredibly friendly and had us all laughing—such a joy! It still feels like a dream to us. While it is indeed a long day, I highly recommend this excursion for an unforgettable experience.
Morocco was kind of adventure but well worth
Very well organized and the guide was amazing, fun and speak few languages that’s was awesome - I would do it again
Tangier is worth the trip
The city of Tangier was breathtaking and met our expectations. The main issue was the trip to and from Seville. Horrible communication! Although we were early at the pick up spot, the shuttle was 15 to 20 minutes late. A rep took us to the shuttle and told us to get aboard. A driver appeared, never introduced himself, gave no instructions as to what to expect during the trip and no bathroom break. We arrive at the port and another man meets us with broken English. He ushers us into the port building gives us documents and tells us to get in line. We all thought he would be our guide. There was no communication that we would meet our guide in Tangier or where to go once we arrived in Tangier. We get on the ferry and again no instructions what to do when we arrive, so we follow the crowd. Once we get to the main floor of the port in Tangier, a man asks if we were with a group and points for us to go outside. Only then do we understand that our group is larger than 8 people when we see other folk with their badge on. We finally meet our guide who was wonderful, energetic spoke at least 4 languages and took us on a fabulous tour of the city. Coming back to Seville our driver only stops and allows a bathroom break because he dropped off two passengers at a hotel. The bus was filled with guests over 65. You must budget time for a bathroom break to and from the port for elderly passengers like myself. I am 69. Thanks. Camille Stearns Miller
TripAdvisor should update accurate departure time information
Spanish drivers are hard at work, and Moroccan guides could do better, with the entire trip taking 17 hours. TripAdvisor had poor communication with the provider and the trip start time had been changed to 7:15 but we kept being told it was 8:30, and thankfully we knew when we went on another tour the day before!
