Interesting tour
The bad weather at the start of the day and the forecast appeared to have put the other guests off from attending meaning I was fortunate enough to get a personal guided tour. Conor knows his stuff and was able to tell me the story of Galway and answer any questions I had.
Guide was a no show.
The Walking Tour Guide never showed up. We waited at the meeting point for 30 minutes and called the contact number 3 times with no response.
The real deal!
Walking Galway Tours (with Conor!) is absolutely where one needs to begin their journey in Galway! I've been on many scripted, flat, uninspiring walking tours across Europe--this was the complete opposite. Conor delivers a perfect narrative that ranges from his personal origin and connection to the city/country, to the cultural and geologic evolution of western Ireland, to the food/music/events relevant to the very day of your tour (he reads the room well). Comfortable, delightful, interesting, beyond worth your time!
Conor is personable,...
Conor is personable and knowledgeable! He has a great mix of history, story and local recommendations. Do this at the start of your time in Galway.

My mom and I had a great time on this tour. It was casual, informative and a lovely tour. I highly recommend it!
