A Nightly Must Activity!!!
Wow, what a magical time! We went for our Honeymoon. Two feet outside our resort stay at the Elysian. Friendly people, helpful staff and the coolest night kayak experiance! We say sea urchins, tropical fish, tarpin and even a sea turtle! I recommend doing this tour with a new/no moon, but anytime is a good time. Thank you to Bernard and his lady counterpart for making it an experiance we will never forget! The complimentary rum punch drinks at the end really pushed the experiance over the edge at the end. Cheers!!!
Fun evening activity
This was a fun experience. One of my friend’s boat lights went out and the guide was able to problem solve efficiently. Additionally another guest’s phone fell in the water and our guide was able to retrieve it and refocus with the rest of the group in a timely manner. I enjoyed the stories and tips of where to look for different sea life. We saw a lot of terrapin, some sea stars, and needle fish.
Enjoyable evening on the water with tarpon, starfish, and Ray sightings.
Chevelle was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. She found starfish, tarpon, and an eagle ray. Loved being on the water at night.
They over book and force two people per kayak regardless of weight
It was a nightmare. They didn’t have enough kayaks with lights so they put two people in each kayak even if it was too much weight for the kayak. It was ok until the water was choppy. They brought one couple back and put them in separate kayaks but that was all they had. They told us to keep the nose of the kayak pinned into the waves so we wouldn’t get water coming in the boat. Our lights went out twice and they came and switched out the battery. When we were at the farthest passer out we had water covering the top edge of the kayak. The guides pulled our kayak and one other one that was under water.
Enjoyable evening
Has been wanting to try this for some time and this year, with friends who had never be to ST, we gave it a try. Very enjoyable. Only reason didnt give it 5* was because we didnt see a lot of fish, but that isnt their fault. Our adult son and d-in-law did it last year and saw lots of fish, especially tarpons. We saw a couple and a few others but it was a beautiful night, excellent and knowledgeable guide. calm ocean, and strong rum punch to end the night. It is cool to look through the see through bottom and even if dont see fish, can still see down to the sea bed. Would certainly consider doing it again
