Itinerary
A "MUST SEE & EXPERIENCE" : the spectacular overhead jet landings at popular Airport Beach !
Enjoy the peaceful scenery at this section of French St. Martin's extensive Nature Reserve. The shallow Lucas Bay/Coralita waters are perfect to cool off your traveling feet. This is not a venue for swimming.
Pass by: This community is located on your route from the Lucas Bay/Coralita area back to Philipsburg. This part French/part Dutch territory is mainly a residential area, with a few smaller guest accommodations, and a marina. From the hill side you're overlooking 2 beach front resorts : one along the Oyster Bay coast and one in neighboring Dawn Beach. A simple sign on the side of the road is the only border marker. No border formalities !
The touring the island by Jeep is followed by beach time in beautiful Great Bay, within view of your ship. 3/4 of this 2-mile-long beach is lined with the Boardwalk. This section of the beach tends to be livelier, with a multitude of beach bars, restaurants and boutiques. The other (unpaved) stretch is quiet and practically undeveloped. Awesome shopping opportunities are nearby, in Front Street, Back Street, and Old Street. You'll also find many great photo ops within walking distance, e.g. the authentic Creole homes with their typical Gingerbread trims.

Traveler reviews
Stay away if the tour guide is Clyde
This was, by far, the worst tour experience I've ever had. We were the only ones booked, so we rode in the jeep with the tour guide. The tour guide, Clyde, said NOTHING the entire tour. The only thing he shared was that he had done another tour earlier in the day. I was expecting to learn about the island as we drove around. He literally just dropped us off at each location and told us what time to be back. We got more insight from the taxi drivers who drove us around during our stay. Once we made it close to where we were staying, we just asked him to drop us off nearby. It was just that awful. I will be filing a formal complaint.
Great tour of St Martin but longer than expected
The overall Jeep tour of the island had great stops on both the French and Dutch side. However, our 9:00am tour didn't start until 10:00am as we had to wait for a guide as apparently our original guide could not make it into work. We encountered a lot of traffic at times which slowed down the tour and put us further behind schedule. Arrived at the beach over 2.5 hours later than scheduled and then could not fit everybody in the transport shuttle back to the port so we had to wait another 45 minutes for the shuttle to return. This cut it very close getting back to the port on time to board our ship by 4:30pm.

Gabriel was an informative and friendly host with extensive knowledge about the local culture and life in the Caribbean.
St. Marteen Jeep Tour
Our guide, Prez, was very knowledgeable, courteous, and provided five star service. We did a scenic picturesque tour, stopped for a delicious guavaberry colada at the Pirate Hideout at Orient Beach, and finished off at the Rum and Reggae Beach Break for some quality beach time.
Anniversary vacation
My husband and I had a great time seeing the sites of the French and Dutch sides of the Island. Driver was knowledgeable and a safe driver😉
