Itinerary
After meeting you driver guide in Buchanan Bus Station, you head off to your first stop
Your first stop on this tour is to see the Kelpies Monument. Artist Andy Scott crafted these icons in the likeness of Clydesdale horses Duke and Baron. They serve as a symbol of the lineage of robust horses woven into the tapestry of Scottish history, playing a crucial role in shaping the nearby region of Falkirk.
Embark on a delightful journey through the picturesque landscapes of the Kingdom of Fife as you head towards Falkland. The focal point of this charming old village is Falkland Palace, a prominent residence of the ancient Scottish Royal family, the Stewarts (Stuarts). Beyond the palace, the village stands out as one of Scotland's most enchanting, boasting a collection of historic cottages and meandering narrow streets. Additionally, fans of Outlander will be thrilled to recognize this locale as the backdrop for 1940s Inverness in the popular TV series.
Now, it's time for the moment you've eagerly anticipated: the medieval town of St Andrews. St. Andrew, the patron saint of Scotland, is said to have had his remains brought ashore on the Fife coast according to legend. St Andrews is also renowned for housing the third oldest university in Britain, along with a captivating ruined castle overlooking a cliff. You'll have approximately three hours to immerse yourself in the allure of this captivating town.
On your return journey to Glasgow, make a pit stop at *Queensferry Crossing to marvel at one of Scotland's most impressive human-made wonders—the Forth Rail Bridge. Enjoy a breathtaking view of this iconic landmark. *Please note, this stop is not guaranteed during our winter months due to low visibility.

Traveler reviews
Great value for your money!
We had a wonderful time on this day tour, in large part due to our guide, James. He is knowledgeable, engaging and has a great sense of humor - a delight to spend the day with! We enjoyed all the stops (especially the Kelpies and St. Andrews) - James gave us a good overview of the sights and we were therefore able to explore and enjoy the time we had there. Highly recommend this tour!
This day trip was a bit...
This day trip was a bit disappointing. The Kelpies were interesting. However the itinerary stated approximately 2 hours in Falkland and approximately 3 hours in St. Andrews. Unfortunately in Falkland we were given a very short time (less than an hour) which was enough time to walk down a few streets but definitely not enough time for the palace or anything else. It is a shame as this a very charming village. St. Andrews was interesting. If your interest is only St. Andrews then this tour would be okay.
Thank you Nick
Great day, very interesting. The schedule is perfect only for Falkland. This town deserves another 30 minutes to allow time to visit the castle. Nick was perfect.
Ride with Jeff C. to see the country
Jeff C. was a great driver and tour guide. He gave us many good suggestions to keep our timing on track at each stop. St. Andrew's was amazing and the Kelpies was the experience I was waiting for! The stops in Falkland and Crail were also perfect sight seeing. I highly recommend and would definitely book again.
Great Trip
