Learn plenty and enjoy a delicious snack and a cup of tea on your walk
This is basically a private walk with Nicole where she tells you all the great stuff in the neighborhood that you can use for medicinal use, flavoring your cooking and just interesting flavors. She has an extensive knowledge of anything you might want to ask about foraging Ireland. We had three adults and a one and a half year old toddler and she kept everyone of us engaged. Additionally, the view out on the point in Howth (where you are walking and foraging) is fantastic.
Foraging Fun
The perfect way to explore nature and feel connected to the place you're in! My favorite discovery was the pineapple weed (or "wild chamomile"), which genuinely does taste like pineapple. Nicole was a great tour guide, explaining every special plant we came across, talking about their history, and she even brought some delicious local fruits and cheeses as a snack!
Foraging tour
I have been to a few foraging tours with friends and family. I enjoyed so much I went back again and plan on going to more. Ever since I went I feel confident to pick some of my own goodies from nature and feel like I learned so much. Nicole is full of knowledge and I really can't recommend her enough. Plus we had a picnic and got a little packed lunch made with some foraged items, the food was fantastic. Its all round super enjoyable.
Nicole's tours are addictive! ;)
I did my first tour with my husband end of October 2022 (Halloween special). I loved everything about it: Nicole has so much knowledge and is great at what she does! The included food was also amazing! The tour sparked my interest and I kept coming back for more tours! I did a mushroom tour, a spring tonic tour (you'll learn about wild garlic for example), and two coastal foraging tours! On one I brought my dad who was visiting and we had delicious foraged food cooked on an open fire at the beach. The second one was with Donal Skehan and we had an amazing buffet at his house at the end of the tour. Nicole has really sparked my love for foraging and I'm very grateful for this new hobby!
