A terrific tour with a fun and informed guide.

Seeing Teotihuacan itself was the most amazing thing of the day. Sergio provided a great introduction as we were driving to the temple city and good information as we walked through the area. I do think the tour should provide water for the trip home. We spent a lot of time in the hot sun and my guess is that most of us had drunk all the water we brought ourselves before the end of the long day. Our driver was excellent!

BUYER OF SILVER JEWELLERY AT TEOTIHUACAN BEWARE -ALL FAKE PLATE

The tour began with us being collected from the intercontinental hotel when the tour bus could have collected us from Camino Real Polanco. It was stop start collecting the remaining 10 sight-seers. We waited 20 mins outside a hotel for the last couple. Once we arrived at TEOTIHUACAN our guide CARLOS, pictured, was informative and chatty. We were approached by lots of hawkers and we looked at their wares. One hawker, again pictured with his accomplice, was selling silver jewellery and CARLOS our guide said that the vendor was trustworthy, he made the jewellery at home - a cottage industry and he’d recommended this vendor to his clients and had recommended this guy for over 10 years. Genuine and trustworthy. All his real silver is hallmarked CARLOS told us and he did a magnet test etc. CARLOS our guide said that others hawking silver were selling fake stuff. We bought 2 bracelets for gifts for USD200 using the hawkers card machine he said he’d send a digital receipt. This never materialised. I was the approached 5 mins later by another asker selling same products a lot cheaper annd asked CARLOS our guide why is this chap cheaper? He said that he was selling fake silver and not to worry. However I did worry. I took my silver to be tested by reputable jeweller in Mexico and was told it was cheap silver plate and the hallmarks are illegal. The authorities should crack down on this activity. This is a warning to other tourists like me and of course there is no recourse. I blame CARLOS our guide too for blatantly lying.

Great visit to shrine of Guadalupe and Pyramids

The visit to the shrine of Guadalupe was quite a lightening and moving. Also the pyramids tour was really impressive and you learn a lot about the history. I was delighted to have, for a second time on the same week, Fernando and Mayra as an our team of driver and tour guides, as they are wonderful to be with, friendly, fun, and very knowledgeable. A great thanks!

More money- zero value

Paid almost double the price of a regular tour in order to have a small group experience. Expected more comfort and additional access to guide. Tour later arriving (30 minutes). Stuffed into the back of a non passenger van with higher seats and lower window - making sightseeing impossible. At Teotihuacan, guide simply said “see you back here in an hour” Ridiculous.
