The Palace and Gardens of Versailles are just a quick walk from the train station. Arriving at 10am, start with a 2-hour walking tour of the beautifully manicured Versailles Gardens as your guide explains the history of Versailles, the royal family, Marie Antoinette and the French Revolution.
Your tour also includes the famous Versailles fountain display or musical gardens show on selected days in the summer.
- Versailles Fountain Display: See the magnificent Versailles fountain display, known as the Grand Eaux. It’s a wonderful live concert held in the groves, designed by André Le Nôtre, where you can watch the fountains explode to the sounds of music. The show runs on most Tuesdays in May and June and on Saturdays and Sundays from April to October.
- Musical Gardens Show: Be enchanted by the musical gardens show, known as Jardins Musicaux. Enjoy the simple beauty of classical music played in the lovely surroundings of the Versailles Gardens. This event runs on Tuesdays in April and May and from July to October.After your tour of the gardens, head to the Palace of Versailles, where your guide will leave you with your skip-the-line entrance ticket, audio guide and return train ticket. Bypass the entrance lines and enjoy immediate entry to explore the palace at your leisure!

We are happy to offer full refunds for our Skip the Line - Versailles Chateau & Gardens Tour if the reservation is cancelled more than 72 hours (3 days) before the scheduled tour. Bookings of 10 or more passengers require seven days notice for cancellations or rescheduling. SKIP THE LINE VERSAILLES TOUR RESCHEDULING POLICY- Reservations may be rescheduled subject to availability. Fat Tire Tours will reschedule reservations free of charge for requests submitted at least 72 hours in advance. For requests submitted within 72 hours, the following fees will apply: 15% rescheduling fee for requests submitted within 48 to 72 hours of the scheduled tour departure time 25% rescheduling fee for requests submitted within 24 to 48 hours of the scheduled tour departure time 50% rescheduling fee for requests submitted within 24 hours of the scheduled tour departure time
