Itinerary
Explore the former home of the US Patent Office, where the Declaration of Independence was once on display. Now the National Portrait Gallery, you will see famous portraits of presidents past.
Enjoy guaranteed entry into the National Archives as well as interpretation about America’s historic documents. Besides the foundational papers of the Declaration of Independence and Constitution, you will see artifacts of momentous events.
We’ll take you through and highlight significant pieces relating to presidents, inventors, civil rights, and democracy while explaining their stories.

Take the 250 Birthday Tour!
Sky was an amazing tour guide. Her passion for history combined with her extensive knowledge made the tour fun, memorable and educational. It was the perfect amount of time and we could stay after the tour to continue exploring the American History Museum. It was well worth the price of admission. This was our second tour with Unscripted. I would highly recommend this group!

Flexibility Rules!!
We originally scheduled this tour to the Archives and Portrait Gallery, but quickly shifted gears after the Shutdown, thanks to our incredible guide, Laura! She took us to the Portrait gallery as planned, then substituted the Smithsonian National Museum of American History for the Archives. Her incredible knowledge and interesting anecdotes gave us a wonderful experience and we couldn't have been happier! Thank you to Unscripted tours for a wonderful DC experience!
