Please take this free shuttle bus when you get off from your cruise ship and they will take you to the drop off point where we will meet you with a signage under your name printed.
Then set off to The Independence Monument in Sihanoukville, built in 1985, honors Cambodia's independence and those who sacrificed their lives in past conflicts. Located on Ekareach Street between the city center and Victory Hill, it sits within a small park. Next to the monument is a shrine used for religious festivals. Featuring a lotus-shaped stupa in traditional Khmer style, it serves as a symbol of national pride and a key landmark for visitors.
And continue the visit to Tomnub Rolork - Koh Preap Pier in Sihanoukville is a busy fishing port that offers visitors a glimpse into local maritime life. It is a key hub for fishermen and is often featured in tours showcasing the region's culture and economy. While it lacks tourist facilities, the pier's authentic atmosphere makes it a fascinating spot to explore. Visitors should be cautious due to limited infrastructure, but it remains a valuable site for experiencing Sihanoukville's fishing heritage.
Test your bargaining skill at Phsar Leu Market. It is also known as Sihanoukville Market, is a lively hub in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, where visitors can experience local daily life. The market offers a wide selection of fresh produce, seafood, meats, and spices, providing an authentic taste of Cambodian cuisine. It also features clothing, accessories, and traditional handicrafts, making it a great spot for souvenirs. Visiting Phsar Leu Market gives you a chance to interact with friendly vendors, immerse yourself in the local culture, and observe traditional shopping practices. It’s the perfect place to try street food, including fresh spring rolls, grilled meats, and sweet coconut desserts. The market is open daily from 7 am to 6 pm, allowing plenty of time to explore.
Stop at Wat Krom, also known as Wat IntNhean, is a notable Buddhist temple in Sihanoukville, Cambodia. Located on a hilltop with stunning views of Sihanoukville City and the Gulf of Thailand, the temple features a large reclining Buddha and a shrine dedicated to the local deity Ya-Mao. Beyond being a place of worship, Wat Krom is a cultural landmark, drawing visitors with its peaceful atmosphere and architectural charm.
Pass by: Then pass by The Golden Lions Roundabout, or Vimean Tao Meas, is a key landmark in Sihanoukville, Cambodia. Built in 1996, it features two golden lion statues symbolizing the city’s strength and pride. Located at a major intersection near Sokha and Ochheuteal beaches, the area is surrounded by restaurants and shops, becoming lively in the evenings. Though traffic can be heavy, it remains a popular cultural and social hub for visitors.
We will not miss The Statue of Preah Thong and Neang Neak in Sihanoukville is a tribute to Khmer heritage. Erected in 2022, it is the country's largest copper statue, standing 27.34 meters tall, including its pedestal. The statue depicts the legendary figures Preah Thong (Kaundinya I) and Neang Neak (Queen Soma), who are considered the co-founders of the ancient state of Funan. According to legend, Preah Thong, an Indian prince, arrived in the region and married Neang Neak, a Naga princess. Their union is said to have given rise to the Khmer people and culture. Located at the Ream Beach roundabout, facing the sea, it symbolizes Khmer traditions and has become a major cultural landmark, drawing both locals and tourists.
No visit to Sihanoukville is complete without a stroll along its pristine sandy beaches. We’ll take you to Otres Beach or Sokha Beach, where you can soak in the tropical island breeze. You may also enjoy a coffee break or lunch at your own expense, upon request. The tour concludes with a drop-off at your shuttle bus station, where you’ll board the bus back to your cruise ship. Traveler reviews
Sihanoukville day tour
Sorphea guided us on a great day trip. His knowledge of history and Buddhism was very valuable and interesting!
Good and interesting tour made. Recommended!
It was good to see Saigon with 'Oceanfrog' through this operator. He is a friendly, correct and above all caring guide who knows well what we would like to see and adapts his information well to what the group is interested in. The bus driver all us smoothly and safely around. The bus was of very respectable age but the air conditioning worked well and it was also needed. Thank you for this lovely experience! Recommended!
The locations chosen to...
The locations chosen to visit were good and interesting. However, the limited English of our guide made this trip a little less engaging. He did not even tell us his name. There were limited explanations of the places seen. During our travel time between locations, our guide spent time on his cell phone or talking to the driver. Our driver was a very good, safe driver. Overall, seeing the included sites gave us a better understanding of this area of Cambodia.
Loved it
The market was not crowded and fascinating. Like grasshoppers with garlic. And so many other exotic things.
