Phare artists are graduates from Phare Ponleu Selpak non-profit school, formed in 1994 by 9 former refugees of the Khmer Rouge war and French humanitarian Veronique Decrop who used drawing classes as therapy. The school was founded to offer free artistic and academic education and to revive Cambodian arts. Today more than 1,200 pupils attend the public school daily and 500 attend the alternative schools.
Phare The Cambodian Circus offers these students and graduates somewhere to hone their skills and a place to earn a decent wage. Money that will take them out of poverty and give them self-respect and freedom.

Reviews
Great performance and enjoyable storyline. The live music stood out to me as the most impressive part. Food and drinks options preshow is well done. Great reputation has been met. A must visit when you're in Siem Reap.
Highly recommend. Went with my parents and 4 year old daughter and we all really enjoyed the show. There are lots of stalls for rice, noodles, burgers, curries, starters, desserts and drinks. We tried most of them and they were all very yummy! There is also a gift shop where all the money goes to a great cause! The whole thing is really well organised. We were all very impressed and would love to go back next time we are in Siem Reap.
Brilliant, energetic show with great story-telling. Highly recommended!
