Our driver, Pat, was on-the-dot prompt in picking us up at our hotel in Shannon, and was a delightful conversationalist along the way to our Dublin hotel, sharing history, landmarks, things to do and see next time, and his experiences in school being required to learn the Irish language himself. AND he dropped us off in time to watch the Limerick vs Clare hurling match (an addictive sport we’ve recently discovered) on tv at a pub near our Dublin hotel.
