Álvaro is a great professional; I recommend him to everyone who wants to have a complete experience in Seville.

I gave it 5 points because that is the maximum, 100% professional.

Good guide despite the large crowds

The plus is that it is easy to book, it takes place, and the meeting point is central. The guide, we had Alvaro, is really good, knows a lot, and conveys it very well. I probably should give you more stars for a group tour, but since I usually never do this, here is the downside: We left almost 25 minutes late because someone was not there. First, we waited standing in the office, then outside, in one of the narrow old town alleys, some participants did not understand that one should perhaps leave a passage for pedestrians. During the tour itself, the length was my problem. We booked 90 minutes for the cathedral and Giralda, even without the delay, the tour was still about 20 minutes longer, which I do not like; a schedule is a schedule, in Spain with some exceptions, but that was still a lot for Spain. The cathedral is worth seeing, but it is difficult to get really close to the altar. As I said, Alvaro was good, great anecdotes about Columbus (whose knee is buried there), but this is the first major church in the world that I have visited where no one was there to pray… there were only tourists in large or medium groups. Even the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona feels a bit holier, unfortunately, the Genius Loci was not here.

Private Tour with Alvaro

Alvaro was our tour guide for the Alcazar, Giralda, and Cathedral of Seville Tour. He was very kind, knowledgeable and professional. Our tour was very enjoyable. I think Alvaro would make a wonderful professor as he has a natural and caring way of teaching.

Cancelled with only 1 day notice

They cancelled our incredibly hard to get Royal Alcazar tickets stating not enough people signed up for the tour. We asked if we could just have the tickets (at the same price as the tour) but that was a no as well. Buy your tickets direct from the official website. The cherry on the top was continuing to be reminded about the tour 4x a day with their automated system, including multiple reminders every day after to leave a review. Terrible communication. Terrible customer service. Wasn’t refunded until I sent them multiple requests.
