Full description

This Seville food tour might cover some of the most bustling neighborhoods in the city center, but you’ll step off the beaten path and into the life of a local for a morning. That means a shopping trip at the market, popping into a beloved tapas bar for a bite, picking up sweet treats from a few surprising locales, and everything in between. Along the way, you’ll meet the proud families who have been perfecting their crafts for generations and get a sense of what it really means to call Seville home.

Your Seville food tour begins at a local market, where you’ll watch locals buy fresh produce at the surrounding stalls. It’s here where you’ll get an introduction to the local eating schedule and discover an abundant array of seasonal fruits and veggies, bread, and more.

Moving on, it’s time to discover the crown jewel of Spanish food: acorn-fed Iberian ham. Watch an artisan charcuterie producer expertly cut delicate, melt-in-your-mouth slices of acorn-fed Iberian ham. One taste and you’ll immediately understand why it’s so revered in Spanish culinary lore.

From there, it’s off to feast on freshly prepared churros in a bar that’s over 100 years old. This place is as family-run as it gets—the current owner was even born in the apartment upstairs! You'll try their perfectly crispy churros dipped in a piping hot cup of chocolate.

On the way to our next tasting stop, we’ll make a brief detour so your culinary expert can share insider information on some of the city’s biggest cultural events, which have shaped the city’s history, culture and food today.

Then it’s time for another taste—something sweet from some very surprising local bakers! This is one stop many visitors miss, simply because they don’t know it exists.

Time for more tapas! Duck into a cozy neighborhood bar that’s also a living shrine to the local Holy Week celebrations. On the menu: shredded pork sandwiches and aliños, washed down with a glass of vermouth.

As a city with such a seafaring past, it’s no surprise that seafood is at the heart of so many dishes in Seville. Round your Seville food tour off at this shop run by a father-son team serving up the best freshly fried fish in the city. Paired with a crisp glass of sherry, it’s the perfect way to get a taste of Seville’s famed April Fair no matter when you visit.
