Full description
Discover the vibrant culinary history of Seville as you make your way from incredible cafés to buzzing tapas bars, finding local delicacies and flavors at every stop. Moving at a gentle pace during the daytime, this tour is a must for any food lover!
Beginning at a popular city center plaza, you’ll head straight to a market that sums up the best of mornings in Seville. Watch all the locals doing their daily shopping before admiring an artist at work as they delicately carve Iberian ham.
Next, it’s time for Spain's most beloved fried treat! You’re off to a bar where the family-run team whips up irresistible churros with a cup of hot chocolate, which many locals consider to be the best in the city.
After that, see a side of Seville that many aren’t even aware of and step through the doors of a sacred convent to meet nuns who bake batches of fresh cookies every day.
Then, learn how to expertly navigate the bustling tapas bars as you dig into two tapas paired with a glass of vermouth. This family-run bar is dedicated to Holy Week, one of the city's biggest annual celebrations. You'll get to see memorabilia and photos up close as your guide explains Seville's Easter traditions.
The Guadalquivir flows through the heart of Seville, so it’s no surprise that the locals are expert fishermen. Chat with a father and son team who serve up freshly fried fish and adobo marinade, a dish that seafaring Sevillians have eaten for generations and is a local specialty during Seville's April Fair (Feria de Abril). You'll enjoy your last bite of the tour with a glass of crisp manzanilla wine.
This food tour not only introduces you to the city's best dishes, it seamlessly weaves fascinating history and culture into each stop. By the end of the morning, you'll have a deeper appreciation and understanding of Seville and the people who call it home.
