The northern part of Seoul is famous for its towns (villages), where people lived since ancient times because it is around the royal palace. Among them, Bukchon Hanok Village is attracting attention as a sightseeing destination that Koreans want to visit. As you walk through the hanok in Bukchon, you can see the life of the people in Korea. Seoul Tower is also famous as a place for various dramas! When you look at Seoul from the top of Mt. Namsan, you will be immersed in the charm of Seoul. Especially when the weather is clear if you are lucky you can see North Korea from Seoul Tower. Looking out at the panoramic view of Seoul from the Seoul Tower, promising an eternal love setting it through a lock of love.
Bukchon Hanok Village, nestled between the historic Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung Palaces, offers a precious glimpse into Korea's past. This 600-year-old village, dating back to the Joseon Dynasty, comprises hundreds of hanoks (traditional Korean houses) that once housed high-ranking officials and nobility. Today, Bukchon, meaning "Northern Village," remains a vibrant residential area where these traditional homes have been repurposed into tea houses, restaurants, cultural centers, and guesthouses. On the Hanok Village Tour, you'll wander through narrow alleys, experiencing the authentic architecture and lifestyle preserved over centuries. Each hanok provides a unique peek into traditional Korean culture, making Bukchon a living museum where visitors are encouraged to interact with history respectfully, remembering that it is also a community where people live.
Also known as Namsan Tower, this communication and observation tower is located on Namsan Mountain in central Seoul. At 236 meters, it provides panoramic views of Seoul and the surrounding areas. The tower features a digital observatory, a revolving restaurant, and various viewing platforms where love locks are often placed by couples. It's a significant cultural landmark and a popular spot for both tourists and locals, especially at night when the tower lights up.
Pass by: Cheonggyecheon is a modern public recreation space in downtown Seoul. The stream was once covered by an overpass and has been transformed into an 11-kilometer long stretch of clear water, walkways, and greenery. The excursion was absolutely fantastic! We visited all the must-see sights of Seoul — from historic landmarks to beautiful modern spots. Our guide, Cathy, was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole trip both fun and informative. She also took excellent pictures of us, creating wonderful memories for us to take home. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Seoul!
Walking tour Palace
It was a lot of walking 10,000 steps. Enjoyable sights. The palace was a delight and our knowledgeable tour guide made it a great experience
It’s a nice tour!
I believe the half day tour will be the best possible option people who are new to Seoul and want to know more about. I was supposed to have business meetings on the day I took, but the meetings had been canceled, therefore, I took the tour so that I can learn more about the city with the mjnimmm time and efforts. The program is pretty structured and it gave people some new insights regarding Seoul it self and the history of Korea.
