Self drive boats. Brilliant experience from start to finish
We booked an 8hr private boat hire with Dora, who contacted me via WhatsApp after I'd booked, and was really good to communicate with. Pickup by Dora's brother Marco was bang on time and in a nice clean air conditioned car. Dora took the time to explain everything we needed to know about the boat, and there was chance to ask questions before setting off. The boat has life jackets (great for just floating around in the sea) snorkel masks (no snorkel though) and a cooler for lunch and drinks. A map is provided with suggested routes, but you're free to go wherever you like. A full 8 hours in the boat is a brilliant way to spend the day, and celebrating on how many of you there are, it can work out cheaper than guided tours. Dora met us on our return and helped moor the boat, and then her dad dropped us back near our apartment. 100% would recommend this to anyone staying in Dubrovnik.
