Traveler reviews
Wonderful! Tour of Avila and Segovia. Truly a must if you're in the Madrid area.
Our Certified tour guide with many years of Experience really made this excursion a memorable wonderful experience. Xaranta is extremely knowledgeable about all of Spain but truly exceptional regarding all history of the two cities we visited from Visigoth's to Romans, Moors or Catholic Kings. She made the experience very warm and caring and treated our daughter so kindly. Very personable and caring. We started in Avila and then Segovia. We visited Roman aqueducts and 2 beautiful cathedrals. We love history and Xaranta didn't disappoint. We had Lunch in Segovia and my wife and daughter ate a typical Spanish meal and loved it. I did not have the same experience as on ordered tenderloin which I like medium rare and the chef thought that meant raw! I returned it twice and then gave up. The croquetas de Jamón were quite good though so it wasn't a total loss. That little blip should not take anything away from this most memorable trip. We highly recommend Xaranta as the guide if feasible!
Don’t miss Avila and especially Segovia
Frederick took us to Avila for a wonderful visit to this “walled” city. He was so nice! We had lunch at an excellent restaurant in Segovia and then Laura took us on a tour there. She lives in Segovia and was so knowledgeable about every site we visited. Be prepared for a lot of walking, stairs, and steep streets.
Spain
Laura was an excellent guide. Frederico was too accommodating to people who were physically incapable of doing the tour. It should have been made clear that to them that they were holding up 45 others.
Great tour!
Our experience was very good! Our guide was Frederico, very cool, and Laura in Segovia, who definitely left the experience much more special. It is well run, but we thought it gave to see everything that was important in Avila, we just missed a free time to stroll in Segovia (the free time only gave to lunch in the place indicated by the company). But for those who want to optimize and do both, it is well worth it.
The Royal Vist
Arantxa was an amazing guide. She was very knowledgeable and Pablo, our driver, was great too! The drive went quickly, and we hand plenty of time to souvenir shop. To top it off the weather was perfect! This trip was the best!
