Our tour starts in front of the stunning United States Custom House, where we'll kick off a delicious exploration of Charleston's vibrant food scene with some warm Cheese and Chives Hot Biscuits.
Next, you'll dig into some South Carolina BBQ with our mouthwatering Pulled Pork Tacos, highlighting a style believed to be the oldest barbecue in the world!
As you continue on the tour, take a leisurely stroll through the Historic Charleston City Market and delve into the history of the African slave trade's impact on the local cuisine. Discover how classic ingredients such as benne seeds (found in our local Benne wafers) and collard greens were introduced to the local diet and have since become a staple of Lowcountry cuisine.
Of course, no visit to the Lowcountry would be complete without sampling some of the freshest seafood our city has to offer, including our famous Shrimp & Grits and She-crab soup.
