Highly unsatisfactory. Not the experience we were expecting.

We were sold a trip for no more than 8 people with an English speaking guide. We turned up to a boat of 17 people and a military like assessment of which tour we belonged on. Not the welcome we were expecting. We were told that the village fee was included in the price was forced to pay an additional 40thb on arrival. We were cast out on the kayak without anyone checking if we knew how to kayak and the tour guide kayaking far ahead without turning to check and without talking to us about the surrounding area. We hit some shallow water because of the position of the tide and had to cut short the mangrove experience. We then headed over to the sea kayaking which all felt very rushed again with the guide kayaking ahead without checking on us. They then fed the monkeys and let them on to the boat without checking with the attendees (for fear or allergies). The food was adequate but nothing to be excited over. The guide didnt really interact with anyone and was disinterested and bored looking the whole time. He didn't attempt to explain anything. Having had a similar kayak experience on a different island this was well below par especially for the price that they were charging. Overall it wasn't an enjoyable experience.

Very nice day!!

Our guide is a man and his 17-year-old brother. They are funny, dedicated and authentic. $80 may sound expensive paid, but in reality, after all their expenses, they only earn $25 a day. I'm at the end of the rainy season, and everything's dry, mangrove, cellar. It's bcp less beautiful than it should be, but they managed to amuse us, with the monkeys:) nice experience I recommend. They picked me up from the hotel, full service, melons, water and chicken rice. They're very careful. Very nice day! (P.s don't forget the tip, it's their real bread!!
