Beautiful but not what we were sold.

Here is my feedback, completely independent, without the guide standing next to you supervising your review as is the case for 99% of the comments. Cat Cat is Disneyland. If you are looking for an authentic village, keep moving. Here, you are harassed to buy trinkets (which you find everywhere else, except perhaps the woven bracelets sold for 10K each that you can get for 3K). We were sold the idea of staying with a local family in a village... not at all, it is a homestay 5 minutes by car from Sapa... Regarding the next day's walk, you are accompanied by 2 or 3 women who help you get through certain sections and who chat nicely with you. Except that once you arrive at the rice fields, they stop there and unpack their entire bags to sell you OVERPRICED fabrics. I had to ask the guide to make them stop because there were 5 of them around us and they were suffocating us. The landscapes are certainly magnificent and the guide is nice. But it is not at all what we were sold. At the end of the tour, the guide stays next to you for the writing of your review, which is why I deleted the first one and redid this one. If I had read an honest review like mine, I would have done something else more authentic.

Hmong probably won’t get there

Sapa is truly beautiful. Our guide, Cat, was very kind, and the local people and our homestay hosts were incredibly helpful and wonderful.
