An Efficient and Quick Way to Gain an Thorough Overview of Salt Lake City
With only a day and a half in SLC, this type of tour was an efficient way to see the city and decide which areas I wanted to explorer later in more depth. The tour met that objective and so much more. The bus was comfortable and clean. The pick up area was convenient, but lacked seating for waiting customers. An important bonus on this afternoon tour was a pipe organ recital at the Tabernacle; I had read only the morning tours heard a recital. Grant, the tour guide was articulate and considerate. He was careful to point out details of the tour that were more fully illustrated on the bus's PowerPoint show. The tour included a lot of history and lore. Grant was careful to point out which stories, although charming, didn't have factual confirmation. I was happy to hear all of SLCs history and grateful for the caveats.Only a small amount of walking is involved with minimum stairways. I have already recommended the tour to some travel companions and surprised them with the information I learned.
Do it!
It was well worth it. This is especially if you aren't wanting to randomly drive around to view specific sites. Also, you have folks leading the tour who know what's what. Great detail and thoughtful answers to our questions.
