The Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu is one of the most famous treks in Peru. This 4-day group hike, with a guide, porters, and cook, takes you through a variety of ecosystems. Starting from Cusco, the route climbs into the high Andes with breathtaking views of Humantay Lake, then descends into the cloud forest, and finally takes you to the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu. To top it all off, you'll return to Cusco on the iconic panoramic train.This tour includes everything you need: transfers from Cusco, 2 nights in campsites, 1 night in a hotel in Aguas Calientes, full board, an expert guide, and entrance to Machu Picchu (depending on the option selected). You'll only need to carry a small daypack, as luggage transport is included so you can enjoy the trek even more.
