HIGHLIGHTS Tasting 10 Amazing Foods and Drinks Non-Tourist Destinations Explore 3 of Saigon's Colorful Districts Deeply Discover Hidden Alleyways and Dine at Authentic Food Stalls Nguyen Thien Thuat Oldest Apartment Walking Around Most Vibrant and Busiest Streets Where Locals Often Sit Down And Eat Together Ho Thi Ky Wholesale Flower Market And Local Market Walking Around Cook Your Own Food At One Local Food Stall
Located on a street of the same name, Ho Thi Ky is the largest flower market in Ho Chi Minh City, supplies flowers to the city and some provinces in the South of Vietnam. Founded in the 1980s, this is a rare place that upholds the characteristic of the old Saigon. The market is open all day, but the most crowded is early morning and evening (Ho Thi Ky night market). The flowers here are mainly from Dalat, Mekong Delta, and other countries such as Hungary and the Netherlands.
Saigon is the most dynamic and bustling city in Vietnam. However, the town still hides ancient and rustic values over time, and one of the most outstanding examples is the Nguyen Thien Thuat apartment buildings in District 3. The buildings first housed American soldiers, but it was used for Vietnamese residents after Independence Day. This residential area has 11 buildings, and about 120 households formed around 1968. As the apartment has existed for nearly half a century, the residents here are, therefore, closely connected from wartime to peacetime. Wandering around the old apartment buildings, you could see the lovely and close images of the neighbors talking in front of the balcony, on the bench, or the children running around in the corridors.

Awesome, do it!
We had a great time! Tons of food, and a lot of info. We were picked up promptly at our hotel and taken to a few different districts to sample all this food. The motorbike option was a lot of fun, and Saigon is just fantastic at night—cooler temps, bustling, alive, vibrant. Such a fun tour and great city. Our tour guides were Tris and Kiran and they were wonderful. Come hungry—we were pretty hungry but basically fell into a food coma when we got back to the hotel.
Lots of great food!
Very good value - so much food! Harry was a great guide, had so much information and was very friendly. Lots of walking, visiting areas you wouldn't find yourself.
Fabulous night with Canon
A fabulous night trying an amazing range of dishes in a local area away from tourists. Canon was an awesome guide - lots of energy and shared lots of information and stories. Highly recommended - just skip breakfast and lunch beforehand!
Great tour with Tri
The food tour was amazing with Tri, my tour guide! We explored the city for 3h30 and eat about 20 plates, desserts and beverages. Tri was really nice and explained every dish and shared about Vietnam's history and culture. I was alone with Tri and he adapted to avoid food I didn't like. Great tour but don't eat anything on the day because you'll need the stomach's space!
Great tour to try so many tasty local food specialities!
A great tour with our guide Nhi! Not only we learned so much about the local food but also about Vietnam history and culture. Tried so many different dishes that otherwise would not have known about - thanks again to Nhi for making this tour so enjoyable - highly recommended! 🥰
