Itinerary
After a good and delicious breakfast at the hotel, we will pick you up at 07:00 am and head northwest of the city of Cusco along a paved road for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, passing through the towns of Poroy and Chinchero. towards the town of Maras.
Our first stop will be 7 kilometers from the town of Maras, where the archaeological center of Moray is located, which was used by the Incas as an agricultural laboratory to adapt different types of microclimates.
After knowing Moray we will go to the salt mines of the town of Maras, whose most outstanding attraction are the salt wells of mineral origin, its more than 3000 wells are worked by the community and its salt is among the most coveted and exotic products in the most popular restaurants in the world.
After our visit to Maras and Moray, we will go to the heart of the sacred valley of the Incas "Urubamba" where our delicious buffet lunch awaits us in one of the best restaurants in the area.
After enjoying our lunch we will continue on our way to the Inca city called Ollantaytambo, this place is the only one that still keeps the original urban design from the time of the Incas, we will visit its enigmatic archaeological center and we will also be able to interact with the local culture. Our guide will explain the importance of this important military, religious and political center during the Inca era.
After visiting the town of Ollantaytambo we will go to the archaeological center of Pisaq, a very popular place due to its traditional essence and deep-rooted art. Pisaq It comes from Quechua, from Pisaq'a, a word that means partridge, a very common bird in the area, this place could have a very important spiritual meaning, because even its shape is that of a partridge.
After all our visits to the archaeological centers scheduled during the day, we will return to the city of Cusco.
