Great edifice, no interpretation.
This is an amazing complex with lots of history. Unfortunately neither the audio guide nor the on site signage allow you to figure out the story. You are left to your own resources to try to figure out what you are looking at, its significance, and even how to progress through the complex. The alcazar tour in Madrid was so so much better presented. Such a disappointment!!
Tricks be careful
We bought 1 pm they haves us ticket for 230pm Had to wait 1.5hr and drive 2 hrs to our ship Almost got left behind, I will bee recomend you
Guided audio tour
The place underwhelmed me, lots of courtyards, walled gardens and passageways. The audio guide is a list of different locations that explain the history of that location, it doesn’t guide at all (probably so it doesn’t compete with people guided tours). It seemed most people were walking around confused. Its well preserved but unlived in.
Incorrect
Booking After booking we were asked for copies of IDs sent on April 20 for a tour to do on the 22nd. First they confirmed the reservation with an address for collecting the tickets. Then they canceled the tour telling us that we sent the documents too late not allowing us to participate in the attraction anymore. They also deny the refund saying the booking was non-refundable. I therefore consider this a scam. Be very careful.
