Itinerary
Your walking tour of Rome begins at a centrally-located coffee bar in the city center and features famous sites seen in books and movies. Traverse Rome's labyrinth of streets on foot. Visit quaint little squares and fabulous fountains and monuments that are hidden at the end of narrow walkways or behind one of Rome’s many corners. Meander through the old city with cobbled streets while drinking fresh mountain water from the Fontanelle's, which are elegant fountains scattered around the city. Treat yourself to fresh and tasty pastries and gelato, and top it off by taking pictures of famous Roman monuments.
Next, proceed with your visit to the Trevi Fountain, found in a few movies, including Fellini's La Dolce Vita. To take after legend, toss a coin in the wellspring and make a desire that some time or another you'll come back to Rome.
Make a beeline for the Government District, where you'll see the Parliament Building, the Palace of the Council of Ministers, and the Column of Marcus Aurelius. The notable Temple of Hadrian is close-by; Emperor Antoninus Pius constructed the amazing structure out of appreciation for his ancestor.
At that point take after a limited road to see the Pantheon, where Raphael, the Renaissance engineer and painter, lies buried
Your tour will take you to Piazza Navona, a mind-boggling square built above the ruins of the ancient stadium of emperor Domitian that held a staggering 30,000 spectators. Currently the piazza hosts the amazing old church of St. Agnes and the Fountain of the Four Rivers, which was designed in 1651 by Gian Lorenzo Bernini for Pope Innocent X. This tour is excellent to do on your first day in Rome, as doing so will give you a fantastic overview of the highlights of the city and you will learn local rules and customs in no time. Your walking tour will conclude at Campo de' Fiori.

Sara was truly an...
Sara was truly an exceptional tour guide and made our time in Rome unforgettable. From the moment we met her, she was warm, thoughtful, kind, and incredibly engaging. What stood out most was how intentional she was with our children (ages 5 and 8), keeping them entertained and involved through fun games and interactive moments throughout the tour. She has the perfect balance of deep knowledge, patience, and genuine care, making the experience enjoyable for both adults and kids alike. When you book a private tour, you hope for someone who feels personal, welcoming, and passionate — and Sara exceeded every expectation. She is absolutely fabulous, and we could not recommend her more highly! The tour itself was the perfect balance of walking, sightseeing, and truly experiencing Rome beyond just the typical tourist spots. Sara blended iconic highlights with local hidden gems so seamlessly, allowing us to experience both the beauty visitors come to see and the authentic charm of the city that locals love. It never felt rushed or overwhelming, and she paced everything perfectly for our family.
Private
A whole fantastic city hike, with a knowledgeable guide. In these hours, we got a quick narrative about the history of Rome and got further a lot of further knowledge. Can definitely be recommended.

A private guided tour is highly desirable if you can afford it: (a) it is an interactive experience with the tour guide and (b) you can go at your own pace in the allotted time. Our 3-hour private guided tour was with Tommaso B. He was very knowledgeable, personable and we very much enjoyed the tour and it met our expectations.
