Best experience of the trip
This was the best experience of our entire vacation. Miguel was our guide and he combined humor and education seamlessly. I am older and need a knee replacement, and I completely over worked my knee and both Miguel and our photographer went out of their way to help me over the harder parts as well as making sure a had a ride back to the buffet. I cant wait to ck.e back and do it again!
Interesting tour inside a cave
Our guide is amazing. It is our first time to visit a cave and it is great to learn more about its formation and life form inside. However the tour is quite short, and there were too many "photo spots" where a professtional photographer would take photos for each family and charge USD35/photo, USD120 for full set. You are not allowed to bring camera/phone/go pro inside the cave. We expect the tour to be at least double the length but it is just too short. Food was really bad, we have no idea how it can be that bad. It just tasted bad. The whole thing feels too commercialised and a bit overpriced. Nevertheless the guide was great, and we enjoyed ourselves.
Rio Secreto was a blast!!
The tour guides were great, Victor was ours and was awesome and friendly and Juan was our photographer and the pictures came out excellent. We did the snorkeling in Puerto Morelos but it got cancelled due to weather, but we had already traveled to the marina which was 45 minutes travel there and 45 back, plus tips. Rio secreto service made up for it with tequila tasting and lunch at the end!
Excellent cave river tour!
Victor was excellent in explaining the formation of the underground cave river system. Our path thru the cave was a combination of walking on dry rock, walking thru ankle high and knee high water, and swimming thru a short section. Victor was VERY helpful with letting us know if there was an upcoming drop off or a rock on our right or left while in water. He led the group slowly to accommodate the different physical levels of the people in our group. It was a magical experience!
Excellent cave trip
Great experience! Really interesting, different activity from all the others in the area. My two teens thoroughly enjoyed themselves and so did I.
