Traveler reviews
The experience is...
The experience is excellent, great stops around the city , famous landmarks and photo spots and fhe Kasbah, and then a fabulous dinner overlooking the water.
First time tour of Rabat and learned so much!
Both the driver and guide were friendly- we were able to see the Hassan Tower and Mausoleum followed by the Chellah UNESCO site - then a walk along the Kasbah and the Old Medina shopping areas - finally dinner by the river!
Do not use Viator
Staying outside city limits, driver called and set a ride for a charge, which I understood. He then tells me he is the guide also. Takes us to a historical place where they tried to charge admission. Admission was included in the tour price. The driver did not know what to do, but I was not paying more. We had the driver takes us back to hotel. Called Viator, which I had used successfully previously and requested a refund for a tour that never happened. The original woman I spoke with stated she would process the refund. Then I get an email saying the refund was denied. I asked them to reconsider and they refused. If you are traveling internationally, use the hotel concierges and not Viator. They do not stand behind their word when there is a problem with the booked tour. I travel a lot and am in my 60’s and find this treatment from Viator to be the worst customer service. Stay away from them.
Tripadvisor's misleading advertising about the tour
The reservation clearly says river walk with Moroccan dinner in Rabat.... And what we got from this reservation was anything but riverwalking as you imagine with its ad post.... We arrived in Rabat and nothing was as described by Tripadvisor. We told our guide, Said, what was going on and why our surprise and insistence on what the post said... And if it hadn't been for him, the trip would have been very bad... In the end thanks to him the tour and our security were perfect. But sadly we felt very conned by tripadvisor for what we expected from the experience. If you want to book the tour in Rabat, do it directly with Viator, which is the company that takes you and offers a great service. With no boat down the river with traditional dinner... But if a tour of the emblematic places of the city by car with an expert guide, which if Said is sure to be a great cultural and tourist tour. But it is NOT true the tripadvisor ad and did not apply my complaint because in small print in your mail it says they are not responsible for "AI drafting errors in your ads." Very disappointed in the company.... I'm not booking anything with them anymore.
Not Quite as Advertised
We appreciated being picked up at our hotel and seeing the sites of Rabat. Walking around the Medina and seeing the Chellah and the mausoleum of Mohammad V. We booked this in large part for the river boat experience. Well, it amounted to 15 minutes in a row boat out on the water. Also, the listing says dinner at a restored riad but what we got was dinner at a riverside cafe.
