Waterfall during rainy season
Boca da Onca was a wonderful and fun tour with many beautiful sights a places to swim. I went when it had rained heavily the day before and although the trail was slightly muddy the views were still very impressive, I believe it made the waterfalls appear even more beautiful and the mist of the clouds over the mountains made it magnificent. The stairs going up was not too bad and you could go at your own pace, it is only steep in some sections. The tour guide and the group were accommodating to me as a gringa with limited Portuguese. I would say this activity is best taken as the only one for the day as there is a lot of walking and some swimming. I would however like to mention that I did not appreciate being asked personal questions from my guide as a solo female traveller, despite this I had a really good time and felt respected by everyone otherwise.
