Itinerary
During the tour you will hear all about the prominence of the town of Adare, how it became a major town and how it then declined and was rebuilt again by the Earls of Dunraven.
Pass by: The heritage centre is the heart of the town and a great space to meet or to park your car.
Adare Park consists of beautiful walks and pathways. There is a thatched gazebo and seating throughout the park. It's setting makes it an ideal location for wedding photographs.
Pass by: In 2018 Charlie Chawke took the abandoned Adare Courthouse under his wing, annexing it to Aunty Lena’s and completely refurbished an historic building linked to Adare since 1836
Pass by: Celebrated golf architect Tom Fazio has taken what was already an award-winning course and transformed it into a parkland paradise befitting a country in the top tier of global golfing destinations. The new course has been created in harmony with the outstanding natural beauty of its surroundings: lush, softly rolling terrain, mature tree scaping, and the sweeping banks of the River Maigue.
Adare Manor Golf Club provides a quality golfing experience, for members and visitors, on a uniquely scenic course, in a consistently friendly and welcoming manner.

Great Adare Walk
Wonderful tour. I've been to Adare several time but never had a good understanding of the history. Jorgen is very knowledgeable and interesting. I have some mobility problems and he modified the walk to meet my needs. Highly recommend.
Walking tour of Adare and Ballingarry
Our staycation brought us to Limerick in September. Jorgen brought us on two great walking tours - Adare first, followed by Ballingarry. Jorgen has great local knowledge and went above and beyond what I expected from the tour. It was great to hear some of the history of the area and it made me realise how little I know about Irish history. I'd highly recommend doing one of these tours if you're in the area.

Jorgen is an easy - going and flexible guide who went beyond the call of duty to inform, entertain and amaze us on a walk around Adare town recently.
All your questions answered
Jorgen is renowned among the Tourist Guiding Community for his knowledge. It's lovely to be able to ask anything and get an authorittive reply. He is also very Covid-19 aware and took care to keep us safe. Highly reccommended!
Outstanding Guided Walking Tour of Adare
Jorgen provided a fantastic guided walking tour of Adare for 46th Limerick Ballybricken Beaver Scouts. His knowledge of the area is superb and he has excellent interpersonal skills. Children as young as 6 enjoyed and could relate to the information being relayed as much as the adult leaders in attendance. We also received very positive feedback from the parents of the Beaver Scouts after the tour.
