Why take this tour?
This private tour isn’t just about food, it’s about stepping into the local pace of life. With your own personal guide, you'll have their undivided attention to ask questions about Venetian food and wine, life in the Floating City, and get recommendations for the rest of your trip. Designed for couples, families, or close friends, this is a personal, immersive, and relaxed way to experience Venice one bite at a time.
Discover hidden *bacari* only locals know
Your private food experience begins in the San Polo district, where your expert guide introduces you to the centuries-old culinary culture shaped by the city’s role in global trade. You’ll ease into the rhythm of Venetian life with aperitivo at a modern *bacaro*, the local version of a wine bar, where you’ll sample two classic bread-based *cicchetti* paired with a refreshing spritz.
Do aperitivo like a Venetian
Your next aperitivo stop is a welcoming neighborhood *bacaro*, beloved for its warm hospitality and regional specialties. Here, enjoy a platter of local cold cuts alongside a crisp glass of prosecco. The journey continues to a lively canal-side wine bar known for freshly fried *cicchetti* and glass of regional wine. Settle in as locals gather before lunch or after work with friends.
Finish with pasta, more wine, and gelato
Then, in the nearby Dorsoduro neighborhood, you’ll step inside a cozy restaurant for the main event: pasta! Enjoy a plate of this signature Venetian pasta and a glass of wine to wash it down. Finally, end on a sweet note with artisan gelato which you'll get to savor along a quiet canal.
