Hike the White Dome Loop, a 1.1-mile moderate hike featuring a stunning slot canyon and awe-inspiring rock formations. Marvel at the vibrant rainbow colors and unique eroded Aztec sandstone depressions throughout the trail. Enjoy exceptional wildlife viewing and epic photo opportunities as you explore one of the most scenic hikes in the area.
Explore Mouses Tank Canyon, an easy 1/4-mile hike rich in ancient petroglyphs dating back over 3,000 years. The canyon is named after Little Mouse, a Southern Paiute renegade who hid in the colorful maze of canyons after committing crimes. Walk through this prehistoric landscape, where you'll encounter stunning rock formations, vibrant colors, and fascinating historical insights at every turn.
Atlatl Rock served as a key intersection and map for nomadic tribes traveling with the seasons. The petroglyphs etched into the rock depict hunting grounds, water sources, wildlife, and sacred ceremonial locations, offering a glimpse into the ancient way of life. Without a written language, these tribes used the canyon's varnished rock surfaces to preserve and pass down their history and knowledge to future generations.
Seven Sisters is a striking group of seven tall, brightly colored eroded boulders aligned in a row, serving as a natural landmark for nomadic tribes during their travels. These sandstone columns were named by the natives as an important guidepost along their journey. You will make a stop here for lunch and beverages, allowing you to fully appreciate this iconic natural formation.

Amazing hike - Amazing guide - Amazing colors!
Perfect one day hike in a spectacular place. Julia was our guide and she went above and beyond in tailoring the experience on our hiking skills and teaching us all about the park and the Nevada geography (she is also an incredible photographer). We really enjoyed the trip and the incredible landscape and colors we could only see in the valley of fire.
Great experience
What an amazing tour!! We were a group of 21, had Gabbie and Julia as our tour guides, they were both very knowledgeable, fun and experienced. They pointed out things to pay attention to, and guided us through. Absolutely amazing!! I would highly recommend it
My dreams came true. So beautiful!
My dreams came true on the Valley of Fire hike! So beautiful! We signed up for a private hiking excursion in the Valley of Fire (call the office to arrange this one). We learned about it by talking to our river guide. A private tour is actually quite affordable - might depend on your group size. Call the office to find out. Michelle took 5 of us on two trails. She explained about vegetation and petroglyphs. We saw some big horned sheep. She is an energetic and knowledgeable person. Friendly and kind. Excellent communication overall and when she was a bit late picking us up. We were in great care the whole time and not worried at all.
A Great Company and Wonderful Hike
Our group of three had a fabulous private tour with Ian and we enjoyed every minute of it. We found River Dogz to be a wonderful company to work with and they made sure everything ran smoothly. Ian is a fantastic guide and we had a lovely day at Valley of Fire. Ian took lots of photos for us and provided them after the tour which made the day even better. One benefit of this tour is that it can be customized to the skill and fitness level of the participants. We enjoyed some moderate climbs but it could also be a fairly easy walk, if desired. Either way the views are stunning and we found it to be a great escape from the strip.
