The Mutiny in Coconut Grove
The Mutiny is a charming older condo-hotel that my husband and I have been staying at during trips to the Miami area for the last twenty years. It's on Bayshore Drive in Coconut Grove directly across the street from part of Biscayne Bay and a lovely park with walking trails and lots of green space. It has a rich history that warrants reading about. Many of the condos have the original marble flooring although during our last stay, we were in a unit that had replaced the marble with tile. All the units have been renovated. The kitchens all have stainless steel appliances and newer countertops. Although the condos are not large a one-bedroom is incredibly comfortable for a couple. Almost every unit has a furnished balcony with views of the water and/or the Miami skyline. There is a lovely pool and a restaurant that serves poolside. You can literally give your car to the valet and walk to all the local restaurants, Fresh Markets, banks and drug stores. The staff are wonderful, charming and efficient.
