Your tour starts with an introduction to cicchetti, Venice’s signature tapas-like bites, at a family-run bar. You’ll enjoy two local favorites paired with a drink.
Next, it’s time for an exploration of the famous Rialto fish market. With a local on hand to give you insider information, learn about one of Venice’s oldest industries and spot strange species you may not find at home.
From there, it’s time for more food! Pop into a bright, friendly little shop for a street-food style take on Venetian seafood—made with products fresh from the market just steps away. Please note: Evening food tours will not visit the market as it is closed at night.
After that, at the nearby Rialto produce market, you’ll extend your knowledge to include the seasonality of vegetables and locally produced specialties. Stop at a fresh fruit stand and taste incredible seasonal delights.
Just a quick stroll away from the market, your next stop is another beloved cicchetti bar. You’ll enjoy one of their best-selling spritzes. Then, you’ll make your way to a cozy modern bar to enjoy homemade risotto and a glass of wine. Your tour ends on a sweet note with a typical Italian dessert, homemade tiramisu.

Know before you book
- Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments or with wheelchairs, or strollers.
- This is a walking tour. Guests should be able to walk at a moderate pace without difficulty.
- This tour is adaptable for: Vegetarians, Pescatarians, dairy free, Non-alcoholic options & Pregnant women, but please note that you may not have a replacement food option at every stop.
- Those with dietary restrictions need to contact us before joining the tour so we can arrange your food.
- Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate vegan options, and gluten-free options are not available due to the risk of cross-contamination.
- This tour covers a full meal.
- Please note: Evening food tours will not visit the market as it is closed at night.
Know before you go
- Please arrive 15 minutes before your tour start time for check-in. No refunds can be provided for late arrivals or no-shows.
- Those with dietary restrictions or food allergies need to email our Guest Experience team at info@takewalks.com after booking the tour so we can arrange your ingredients.
- There is an option to replace any alcoholic drink with a non-alcoholic alternative upon request.
- Tours take place rain or shine, dress appropriately and bring an umbrella if it looks like rain.
- Guests with serious food allergies will need to sign an allergy waiver at the start of the tour.
- Tips/gratuities (for your guide) are always appreciated.
Cancellation policy
Cancellations received greater than 7 days prior to tour commencement are fully refundable. Cancellations received within 7 days of tour commencement are nonrefundable. Amendment requests are subject to availability and price changes. Late arrivals and no shows are nonrefundable. This is applicable to any tour participant that fails to arrive, or arrives after tour departure.

If you’re reading this, book it now! You’ll be one of the first on the boat and get the best spot before anyone else. Daniela (aka “Daniel”) treated us exceptionally well from start to finish. Her knowledge of the falls and the stories behind them was the perfect balance of informative and entertaining. She keeps you laughing throughout the tour and enjoys the experience right alongside you as if it were her first time seeing it. 10/10 — I would recommend this tour to anyone.
