The ticket to the coliseum has your babe and they check against passport. Guide gave us the wrong tickets. The other family got in with our tickets but we had two with their family member babes and they had two of ours. We eventually got in but it was a big hassle. The tour guide should have verified that she gave the right tickets.
We enjoyed our tour of the Vatican museum and St Peter’s basilica. Our guide Ursus, helped us navigate through the crowds, got us into the Sistine Chapel before it was too crowded, and provided just the right amount of detail about what we were seeing.
The lady was nice enough. She wasn’t rude, but she stated several times that this was her first tour. She also said it was her first time in St Peter’s in over a year. This lack of experience showed up during the tour. We were supposed to have direct access to St Peter’s right after the Sistine Chapel. She missed the turn or didn’t know where is was and we ended up outside. This caused quite a panic as we thought we would have to join the long line waiting to get in the church. Luckily a Vatican security guard let us into the regular line at the front and we got in. For once in a lifetime trips I would have expected a more seasoned guide. She wasn’t rude nice just inexperienced
