Carmel Driver Bad Experience
The company —Carmel is the worst! The driver picked us up from LGA Airport. From the time we got into his car, he complained about the traffic. He was speeding, cutting people and never stopped complaining about the traffic. We go to the hotel—Marriott Marquis on Broadway, the driver says the toll and tips are not included. Ok, I am fully aware about the tip—which is optional because the company was already paid, but the toll?? So I said why didn’t you ask me if I wanted to go thru the toll or not. You should have given me that option. I said you took it upon yourself to take the toll without consulting with me first. You cannot just demand me to pay the toll when I did not ask you to take the toll. He should have cleared that with me first. He should have said I can get you there faster if you pay an additional $7.50 for the toll. At that point, I would have agreed to pay the toll or not but do not just decide for me. He telling me it is his company—well that have nothing to do with me. The company was already paid. Like I said he should have asked me first before deciding then demanding I pay it. Needless to say, I paid the toll but he forfeit his tip. It is not what you say but how you say it. That will take you a long way. He was going to get a $30 tip, yet instead he got the toll bill paid of $7.50. Get your tip from the company! Next time give people the option and not decide for them.
Stay away from them
Absolutely disgraceful service from Carmel Car Service. I booked an airport pickup FIVE DAYS in advance and they still failed to send a car. The driver never showed up, and when I called, the response was essentially: “We can’t find a driver, keep waiting if you want.” No apology, no accountability, no solution. Just complete indifference after leaving a customer stranded before an airport trip. This company clearly takes reservations without having any intention or ability to honor them. What kind of airport car service confirms a booking for days and then abandons the customer at pickup time? The stress and anxiety they caused were completely unnecessary and unacceptable. Now I understand why this company has so many awful reviews. They are unreliable, disorganized, and shockingly unprofessional. If you actually need to get to the airport on time, do NOT trust this company. A reservation with them means absolutely nothing.

Dont ask for tips
The driver did not fully understand english and had the nerve to ask for payment, after i told him i had already paid he asked for a tip.
Terrible
Although when I booked this I supplied all the details and was quoted a price based on that. When I arrived I was asked for the address, I gave the name of our hotel and was asked again for the address, this it seems was not enough, I tried to explain and was hung up on an caught a taxi which was much better value. Just need a refund now ☹️
