In This Tour We’ve paired 3 of the rich local Hadad Araks to bring out five of the flavors of Jordanian cuisine, The Jordan Heritage Restaurant, is a non-profit organization established in 2014. Its mission is for Jordanian heritage to be documented, revived, and experienced by all locals and international visitors; thus, using heritage as a vehicle of pluralism, women’s rights, social cohesion, commercial sustainability and inter-cultural exchange. It all started when tracing the “Mansaf” – Lamb with Yogurt in the remote villages back from the Great Arab Revolt, and as a response the local Jordanian villagers would make all sorts of unheard dishes; the number of dishes reached 25, Jordan Heritage decided to document the Jordanian cuisine. Five years later, Jordan Heritage had amassed 95 dishes from all corners and cultural groups of Jordan to the taste of all.

Fantastic tour of traditional Jordanian foods and thoughtful pairings of arak.

We were looking for a dining experience in Amman where we would get to try a variety of different traditional Jordanian dishes that we would not normally find in most tourist restaurants. We were very excited with the food and service from the restaurant and tour company. The tour’s friendly and knowledgeable driver Basel, who picked us up and returned us to the hotel, served as our host and sort of guide and made sure we were well taken care of by the rest. The arak pairings were a great addition to an amazing, almost overwhelming, meal. We highly recommend this tour option. Come hungry because you are going to eat a lot!
