Highlight of my trip to Argentina!!!

Not to be missed!!! The trip to this estancia and riding Tupak was the best memory of my trip to Buenos Aires. The estancia is only an hour away from Buenos Aires. The car ride to and from was arranged by this operator and worked flawlessly. The entire experience was so authentic, so welcoming as if I was visiting with a friend I have known for a long time!!! Yes, I have been to other estancias during my visit to Argentina and maybe they try to be a bit fancier but to me it felt a bit commercial..I dont know they did a good job of course but Marcello's place and experience riding on the country roads of Carlos Keen will stay in my memory forever!!! I would have loved to include my video of galloping on Tupak but this only supports pictures

Not as advertised but very enjoyable for us

We wanted a horseback ride in the country and a sense of the gaucho experience. We spent the day with Marcelo, the operator, and Lorena, his assistant. They were very charming, spoke reasonably good English, and had lovely horses for us to ride. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with them and our lengthy ride. However we were in the town of Carlos Keen, not Villa Ruiz. It was not scenic. We did not have an “asado” lesson, nor did we return to an asado lunch. We did in fact eat at a tiny local cafe, where the proprietor served a delicious lunch of antipasto appetizer, homemade organic ravioli, and dessert. Marcelo provided wine. Viator/Trip Advisor needs to sync the description of this excursion with the actual experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the horseback ride, and that was what we came for. But many people would not be happy with what we got versus what was advertised - see next paragraph for the advertised excursion. “This is a typical itinerary for this product Arriving to Villa Ruiz, close to San Antonio de Areco, you will have a small introduction about how to do a typical argentinian barbecue called "asado" (learn how to cut the meat and to salt, learn about the fires's secrets...). Then you will go for a horseback ride of 2 hours around the province of Buenos Aires. When you come back, enjoy an amazing asado, drinks included.”
