Private Half-Day Batu Caves and Cultural Tour in Kuala Lumpur

We had the most fantastic day exploring Kuala Lumpur with our driver and guide, Ayyanar, through Viator. We visited the incredible Batu Caves, explored Little India, a beautiful mosque and Chinatown, and experienced some wonderful traditional Malaysian cultural experiences, including learning about batik and seeing traditional crafts being made. The Batu Caves were definitely a highlight. We loved exploring the caves, seeing the monkeys and taking some amazing photos along the way! But what really made the day so special was Ayyanar. He was the most beautiful, kind-natured and genuine person. He shared stories about his family, his culture and his life, and happily answered all of our questions. He was so patient, knowledgeable and generous with his time, and it never felt like we were simply being taken from one attraction to another. We genuinely felt like we were experiencing Kuala Lumpur through the eyes of someone who was proud to share his home with us. Ayyanar made the whole day feel personal, relaxed and incredibly special. We laughed, learnt so much and experienced parts of KL that we may never have discovered on our own. We had a great time. Our guide, Shiva, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He explained things well and shared a local’s perspective to KL that was very informative. He also added a few extra stops to our tour and we felt very well taken care of.

I had a lovely morning out with Shiva as my Guide. He was helpful and friendly a really interesting man. I felt safe and looked after. We visited Batu Caves, Thean Hou temple, Masjid Negara, Brickfields Little India and stopped at Merdeka Square briefly so I could take photos. We also stopped at a chocolate factory/shop and there was an option to stop at a batik shop as well

Very interesting tour.Our guide Lawrence was so knowledgeable and interesting. He not only told us interesting facts about where he took us and what we saw but also about other facts relevant to the history and the culture or the different temples. It really was a good tour. I deffinately recommend it to anyone visitoring KL and hopefully you get a great guide like Lawrence
