Itinerary
The full-day Grand Teton National Park tour will begin close to sunrise to maximize the hours of the day when wildlife is most active. Your naturalist guide will seek out wildlife hotspots, often off the beaten path on unmarked dirt roads in our comfortable 4wheel drive safari vehicles. Make use of our Swarovski spotting scopes and binoculars to view the daily habits of local fauna, including moose, elk, bison, pronghorn antelope, mule deer, wolves, black bears, grizzly bears, bald eagles, and trumpeter swans. After a morning session of uninterrupted wildlife observation, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch, then we’ll continue to explore the natural landscape of the park and if desired by the group, we’ll embark on a short walk, along easy terrain, to observe the smaller wonders of this park. Make sure to pick your expert guide’s brain on topics like animal behavior, animal adaptations, the geology of the area, local botany, and the cultural history of this special place.

All day Yellowstone tour! Public Land Bliss!
We did the full day Yellowstone tour with Ryan. (Couldn’t select this in the drop down for TripAdvisor review). Once again, the care taken by the tour company to think of everything we needed made this an awesome trip. Food was excellent. Breaks given often. All creature comforts available. Ryan also did such an amazing job. So incredibly knowledgeable and really imparted the ethics and value of the land and wildlife including leading by example in surreptitiously picking up the odd bit of litter from other Careless travelers, without ever making a big deal. I loved that and it encouraged me to do the same at the next spot we went to. We heard so much cool info about wildlife, we were so well taken care of, and boy did we see the wildlife. Bear! Wolves! Moose! pronghorn (did I mention wolves!!) and of course all the cool stuff in Yellowstone. He read the group and gave us exactly what we needed. And Ryan kept the energy up the entire day (which is saying something for such a long day). Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour.
X-Country Ski Touring in Grand Teton NP
We had an 8 hour private ski tour with EcoTours of the northern area of GTNP. Our guide, Mark, was just amazing with his knowledge of the geology of the area and the animals in and around the park. We stopped along the way to see a fox and a coyote. Very cool for us first timers to this area! We drove on to enter the park at the northern entrance by Signal Mountain. From there, we skied for five hours on the park road that is closed to vehicles traffic, but was also groomed for skiing. The views of the Tetons were spectacular. Mark was a perfect blend of offering us insights, answering our questions, and also allowing us to experience the peace and quiet of having the park to ourselves in the winter time. The next day, we did a four hour private tour with Laura, who was equally amazing. Like Mark, she asked us right at the start what we wanted to do and to see. This time, we were more focused on seeing animals, and Laura knew right where to go. With a blend of stopping and viewing from the car as well as while we were on skis, we saw bison, bald eagles, long horned sheep, elk, coyote, moose, and a porcupine hidden in a tree. It was another amazing day. Both Laura and Mark are professional guides who delivered a great experience for me and my wife. Kudos to them and the team at EcoTours for running a great biz!
Trip of a lifetime
My family had an amazing day w/ Ryan on our Ecotour through Jackson and Grand Teton National Park. We saw Elk, Bison, moose, bald eagles, mule deer, swan, coyote, big horn sheep and more all through Swarovski binoculars! Ryan was super knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you Ecotours!
Adventure in the Tetons
Drew was amazing and so knowledgeable. He new where all the hot spots were to see animal sightings! We were lucky to see bald eagles, moose, bison, sheep & deer. I feel that a private 8 hour adventure was perfect because it didn’t feel rushed and it gave us an opportunity for tracking the animals. The views of the Tetons were spectacular and Drew took amazing pictures as well as videos that he shared with us. I would highly recommend taking this tour!
Overwhelmingly a fantastic experience - if you are lucky to have this opportunity do not hesitate!!!
What a phenomenal day - Ryan, our guide, made our day one of the best experiences we’ve had seeing wildlife. His passion, enthusiasm, knowledge and spotting skills were exceptional. We felt Ryan endeavoured to make our experience personal and perfect.
