Great and fast experience
A good chance to visit Calafate if you don't have too much time to explore it! The good assistance from the operator with communications and reservations, where excellent! Hoping to be able to visit again in the future!
Read up- be your own tour guide.(sort of)
The private tour is not good. The availability is not on the website, so we did not go. Their phone number is not answered, either in English, or Español. So, we booked airfare to ElCalafate direct. We reserved a hotel for the night, and took off! The hotel arranged a glacier tour for 104$ each. That included the boat ride in the bay, to see the glacier up close. It was great. We got back, after a busy day, at 9pm. the next day, we had time for local sights and lunch, before getting back to airport for the flight. In all, it was about 1200.00 for the 2 days. A better price than a rushed, 1 day tour. Next time, we stay in Ushuaia and go to Calafate on the way back to BA.
Absolutely amazing...
Absolutely amazing experience! Loved every minute of it! So far my best day in Argentina ! Photos speaks volume …
A MUST WHILE IN ARGENTINA
We had a BIG problem at the beginning of the trip. No one arrived at the hotel to take us to the local airport at 2:30 am in the morning. We finally hired a cab and worried the 3-hour plane ride no one would be at the other end. We did What's Up to contact the agency and no one responded. Sabrina was at the other end to pick us up thankfully. The town itself is delightful and we wanted to stop on the return to the airport but she didn't want to spend the time and we had plenty before our flight. The glaciers are amazing to watch and we even saw it calve. The boat spent an hour on the water in front of the glacier. We were so fortunate with the weather, but I'd definitely be prepared for extreme winds and cold with appropriate attire. She explained about Patagonia and the flora and fauna. I would not do this trip in a day with the hours Signature Tours gave. The day was exhausting as we didn't return to the hotel until almost midnight. They did refund the money to the airport and gave wine to apologize. I was happy I could speak Spanish as it would have been quite difficult to navigate the taxi and airport without it. For the money we paid it shouldn't have happened. IF using this tour agency watch the hours of the flights as there were better times and that they respond with the name of the driver.
