Full description
This private evening food tour explores five small local businesses in the Oltrarno district with an expert foodie focused solely on you. This intimate tour makes it easy to ask questions, enjoy unhurried moments, and connect more closely with Florence’s food culture. Begin with a classic aperitivo of Tuscan wine and regional snacks, then stop at a historic wine window for Prosecco. Continue to a neighborhood wine bar for a hands on Negroni lesson where you can take your time learning each step and savor cold cuts and freshly baked schiacciata. Dinner at an upscale trattoria features fresh pasta and signature Florentine steak, as your guide explains how these dishes fit into local culinary traditions. End at an artisan gelateria with rotating seasonal flavors for a sweet finale. This private food tour keeps the evening comfortable, flexible, and ideal for a special occasion or simply enjoying Florence at your own pace.
A Taste of Tuscany to Begin Your evening begins in Oltrarno, across the river from the bustling city center and crowds of tourists. Your personal guide will take you to a local wine bar to start the night slowly. Enjoy regional cheeses, bruschette, and warm focaccia with a glass of Chianti Classico. This is exactly how a night in Florence should begin.
Sip Through Florence’s Past Next, you’ll step up to one of Florence’s most charming traditions: the wine window. When your prosecco appears through the small arched opening, it feels like traveling back in time. Then, inside a local bar, you’ll learn how to make a classic Negroni, Florence’s signature cocktail, paired with schiacciata and cold cuts.
The Main Event: Florentine Steak Sit down for a leisurely meal at an upscale trattoria with a surprising connection to Napoleon's sister. The first course is a plate of fresh pasta. Then comes the moment every food lover waits for: bistecca alla fiorentina. Perfectly seared, this iconic steak is served in true Florentine style. It’s the centerpiece of an unforgettable evening. To end, you’ll savor artisan gelato with a rotating selection of seasonal flavors.
Why Book a Private Tour? Because this is a private experience, the night moves entirely at your pace. Linger over a glass of Chianti Classico, ask questions, and enjoy the undivided attention of your local guide. It’s ideal for couples, families, friend groups, and travelers who want a more exclusive, food-focused way to experience Florence at night.
