Great coffee and history lesson!
This was an unforgettable experience. Our trip guide Marinelio and the tour guide Thelma were very knowledgeable about the history of the farm, the coffee production, and the history of Brazil. Marinelio expertly translated for us when we didn’t understand some words, and Thelma was a very gracious host. The farm is beautiful, the lunch was delicious, and the coffee is superb! I would highly recommend this experience for anyone who wants to learn more about Brazil and how coffee production shaped the country.
Thank you Danilo!
Definitely our best experience in Brazil! Although the visit took place on Sunday morning, we were able to visit the historic part of the former coffee plantation in absolute tranquility, assisted by a local guide (very prepared and extremely kind) and of course by our super-guide Danilo Valisserra. We were explained in detail the historical importance of coffee cultivation in Brazil, as this was done from the point of view of cultivation, processing and shipping; we were able to understand what were the living conditions of plantation workers and those dedicated to the management of the owner’s family, both slaves and workers in particular Italians. Excellent lunch at the end of the visit in an outdoor structure, but covered by a canopy, with clean bathrooms. Our day was enriched significantly by the priceless opportunity to speak with Danilo in the car along the round trip and during the visit of the plantation, thanks to his impeccable English and above all to his great culture and ability to make us understand, in depth, both what the heart of Brazilian culture is and what are the similarities or differences with European or North American culture.
Very well-kept family business (we got to meet the owner!) super relaxing and amazing opportunity outside Sao Paulo!
Our tour guide made this an incredible experience! The tour itself was full of history, tastes, sights, etc. 100% reco!
Excellent tour of coffee farm with an exceptional guide
This was a really excellent trip with an amazing guide, Danilo. We gained a really great appreciation for the history of Brazil and the influence of coffee on this history. It was very interesting to see the coffee farm and how the coffee is processed as well as the historical buildings. The lunch was very tasty and filling. On the way back to the hotel, Danilo played a selection of traditional Brazilian music which also helped us get a better understanding of the culture. Overall, a wonderful day with an excellent knowledgeable and friendly guide Danilo.
Beautiful coffee farm and countryside!
Amazing tour where we learned about coffee production and how it has affected Btazilian history! The coffee farm is gorgeous and the restaurant with the included lunch was very good. Danilo was the best guide anyone could have! He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and had great recommendations for restaurants in Sao Paulo! Definitely recommend taking this tour!
