Itinerary
The tour starts with an exploration of the canal that surrounds the Old City and stops at the historical gates of Chiang Mai and Tha Phae Gate which once protected the ancient city from foreign invaders centuries ago.
For your next stop, your tuk tuk ride will take you inside the Old City where temples and other historic sites reside. Make your stop at Wat Chedi Luang, the 'Temple of Big Stupa'. Constructed between the 14th and 15th century, this temple was the home of the famous Emerald Buddha which can now be found in the Grand Palace of Bangkok.
The Three Kings Monument Square in Chiang Mai Thailand is a large open square in the heart of the walled Old Town. The statue portrays the three founders of Chiang Mai, King Mengrai, King Ramkhamhaeng and King Ngam Muang. King Mengrai ruled Lanna, King Ngam Muang was ruler of Phayao and King Ramkhamhaeng was King of Sukhothai Kingdom, purported founding fathers of Chiang Mai.
Or better known as the 'Silver Temple'. Made from alloy and zinc silver, the Wat Sri Suphan shines the brightest in the afternoon. Inside, you'll see modern silversmiths at work, all using techniques handed down by their ancestors.
The most beautiful architecture in the northern style is reflected in the chapel.
For your last stop, check out the Muang Mai Market or Warorot Market, where the local Sunday Market and Night Bazaar are located. Find the cheapest items in the city here and see products of all kinds; fruit, vegetables, souvenirs, seafood, jewelry, beauty supplies, a large flower market, and a whole lot more!

Traveler reviews
Mediocre
It was quite a dismal experience. I only realised after the activity that the ticket/ booking only included the driver of the tuk tuk and not a guide. It would have been nice to have an informative guide and I used chatGPT to teach me about the temples I was seeing. The driver also didn't inform me that the 3 King's Monument was closed. I had to ask to be taken to the market which was on the itinerary. I was dropped off at my hotel an hour before the stipulated tour ending time. Quite disappointing as most of what I saw could be arrived at on foot.
Cheap and easy way to see around town
We just booked the temple tour no guide and it was spot on. Good way to see around town and a few temples at our own pace. For $45 it was well worth it. He even stopped at pharmacy and supermarket for us too. Very accommodating
Truly wonderful
We had an amazing experience with Non as our guide. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the visit truly memorable. Watching the sunrise at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep was absolutely breathtaking and definitely a must-do in Chiang Mai. What made it even more special was Non’s thoughtful explanations of Buddhism—he brought so much meaning and context to everything we saw. Highly recommended!”
Pleasant moment
We've seen a lot of things to do in Chiang Mai Our driver, Di was affable and kind! I recommend it.
