Itinerary
When your cruise ship docks at Warnemuende Port, hop into a luxury car and sit back and relax on your chauffeur-driven ride to Berlin. After roughly 2.5 hours on the road, arrive in the city and meet your private guide – a local expert who’s ready to introduce you to sights and history of beautiful Berlin.
Pass by: Admire Brandenburg Gate – an iconic symbol of Berlin – and pose for photos next to the Berlin Wall while hearing about the futile division of Germany following World War II.
Pass by: Amble past Berlin Cathedral to marvel at its medley of architectural styles.
Pass by: See the TV Tower -- the city’s most popular attraction.
Pass by: Given the city’s complex modern history, many of its sights hark back to the days of WWII, and its vibrant streets echo with reminders of its past. Scout out the most poignant WWII monuments, like the Holocaust Memorial and War Memorial, while hearing their history from your guide.
Pass by: Take a walk through Checkpoint Charlie – the only point where visitors could cross between east and west Germany during the country’s separation – and then see Hitler’s Bunker, as well as sites like the Nazi Air Ministry and Bebelplatz -- the scene of the Nazi book burning.
Pass by: Finally, get a taste of the city’s cosmopolitan culture, with visits to Potsdamer Platz and Gendarmenmarkt – two of the city’s must-visit squares.
If museums are more your thing, then head to one of the city’s leading museums, like Pergamon Museum (own expense). You are free to explore independently its staggering collection of artifacts – treasures of ancient civilization from around the world.
Bid a fond farewell to the city and your guide, and then relax as your driver transfers you back to Warnemuende Port.

Traveler reviews
Cruising Friends
Our guide, James in Berlin was quite knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs. Our only complaint was the transport vehicle was not what we expected. We were picked up in Warnemunde by taxi. The driver while very nice did not speak English. Through Google translate we established that he was driving us to meet our guide in Berlin. The taxi was not comfortable and the windows had advertising stickers on them- blocking views as we traveled. By the end of the day getting into and out of the taxi became a bit challenging for the older travelers in our group we were a party of 6 between 60-80 yrs old. I would recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see the sights in Berlin. James did a was wonderful in providing insights and painting a picture of WW2 Germany. An English speaking driver and being made aware that we would be meeting our guide in Berlin would probably have made the initial pick up a little easier and seamless. We still give this tour high marks for being comprehensive, offering good communication during the booking process and affordability. My only suggestion is letting clients know about the taxi transportation and potentially an only German speaking driver.

Giles was fabulous. He was informative, interesting, funny & accommodating. Uwe, the driver was safe & kind and got us to our boat on time. I would highly recommend this tour.
Great experience
Our driver and Tobi were terrific. Fascinating tour. So much great information. Great experience and English speaking as requested . I didn’t like having to contact the tour operator in advance. I thought Viator would do the entire process.
Great private tour!
Our guide Tobi was fantastic 😀! He was extremely knowledgeable and took us to all the major attractions in Berlin. I learned so much about German history and current lifestyle in Germany. I would highly recommend him.
private tour of Sachsenhausen and Berlin with Gregor
This was a private tour for 5. We were picked up at the cruise port and met our guide, Gregor, when we arrived at Sachsenhausen. Gregor was super knowledgeable about the concentration camp as well as our tour through Berlin. We stopped at a local place to grab something to eat and drink. It was a very long day but well worth it.
