Full description

This private family food tour turns the city into your playground where churros come dipped in thick chocolate, markets become treasure hunts, and centuries-old streets hide dragons, giants, and stories your kids will actually remember. Your private guide adapts the pace, keeps kids engaged with games and storytelling, and gives parents space to actually enjoy the city. You’ll taste real local food, uncover stories hidden in plain sight, and connect with Barcelona in a way most families never do.

Kick things off in a quiet plaza near the Gothic Quarter, where your guide welcomes your family with a special “Adventure Booklet” for the kids. This is your passport to the day, and is packed with games, clues, and challenges that turn Barcelona into an interactive story. And because it’s private, everything moves at your family’s pace.

Next, kids dive into crispy churros dipped in thick, rich hot chocolate, while parents sip coffee. Your guide will give you a glimpse into daily life in Spain, from school routines to food traditions.

The adventure continues as you weave through the Gothic Quarter. Your guide brings the city to life with tales of dragons, heroes like Sant Jordi, and centuries-old secrets hidden in the streets. Then it’s time to refuel. In a cozy local spot, parents enjoy a glass of cava or vermouth alongside regional cheeses and cured meats. Meanwhile, kids roll up their sleeves to make their own pan con tomate—a simple, delicious Catalan classic.

At a local market, kids take on a scavenger hunt as you explore colorful stalls, meet local vendors, and learn how Barcelonans shop and eat every day. Both kids and parents will discover new flavors, new words and plenty of surprises.

Your final adventure takes you inside the Casa dels Entremesos, home to Barcelona’s legendary “giants” to learn about Catalan festivals. Then, end on a high note at a historic candy shop, where kids choose their own sweets.

If you’re reading this, book it now! You’ll be one of the first on the boat and get the best spot before anyone else. Daniela (aka “Daniel”) treated us exceptionally well from start to finish. Her knowledge of the falls and the stories behind them was the perfect balance of informative and entertaining. She keeps you laughing throughout the tour and enjoys the experience right alongside you as if it were her first time seeing it. 10/10 — I would recommend this tour to anyone. As an added bonus, our group had only four people, which made the experience absolutely incredible and much more personal. Thanks again, Daniel! 😉
